Single Leaf Smoke Vents

Smoke dampers are an important component of gravitational smoke extraction, used to vent harmful substances generated during a fire. Thanks to its sunlight-permeable cover, it can also serve as a rooflight. Due to the performance characteristics, they are designed for installation on flat roofs (up to 15°). Smoke dampers are widely used in large-scale facilities: production halls, logistics centers, warehouses, sports facilities, skyscrapers, shopping malls. They can be made in two variants: single-wing and double-wing.

Product features

Robust and Customizable Base Construction

The smoke damper base is engineered from high-durability galvanized steel sheet (minimum thickness of 1.25 mm) composed of four distinct segments. To accommodate various roof structures and technical requirements, the base height is highly customizable, ranging from 300 mm to 1000 mm, with standard availability at 350, 500, and 750 mm.

Multi-Functional Covering Options & Solar Control

The system offers diverse covering choices to meet specific thermal and fire safety needs, including multi-thickness cellular polycarbonate (up to 25 mm) with built-in UV filters, acrylic or solid polycarbonate domes, and fire-retardant Kera Fire Protect panels (BROOF(t1) class). Additionally, an optional Solar Control coating protects interiors from excessive summer heat by regulating solar radiation transmission.

Dual-Type Actuation Systems

To ensure flexible and reliable deployment, the smoke dampers utilize two distinct types of opening mechanisms: electrical and pneumatic. The electrical system relies on 24 VDC actuators operating with a current ranging from 2.0 A to 8.0 A. Alternatively, the pneumatic variant utilizes one- or two-way actuators powered by CO2 cartridges, which incorporate a dual-actuator setup for double-wing configurations to ensure one dedicated actuator operates each wing.

Certified High-Performance Technical Ratings

The smoke dampers boast high performance certified to the EN 12101-2:2003 standard (CE mark 1488-CPR-0042/W). They offer proven operational reliability over 1,000 fire-position cycles (Re 1000) and feature certified heat resistance up to 600 °C (B 600). Additionally, the system opens in under 60 seconds while resisting wind loads up to 1,500 Pa (WL 1500) and snow loads up to 900 N/m² (SL 900).

Dual-Function Daily Ventilation & Security Options

Beyond emergency smoke extraction, the units can be converted into dual-function dampers by integrating a daily natural ventilation system (utilizing the existing 24 VDC electric actuator or a dedicated 230 VAC/pneumatic drive). Safety and utility are further enhanced through optional roof hatch functionality for roof access, anti-drop gratings, custom RAL color painting, and full integration with external control units, smoke detectors, and alarm buttons.
