Non-opening rooflight

The AWAK non-opening rooflight is a fixed, daylighting element for flat roofs, designed to provide natural light in buildings without moving parts, actuators, or the need for maintenance inspections. Manufactured in a range of dimensions from 600 × 600 mm to 2000 × 3000 mm, with a thermal transmittance coefficient of 1.1-2.5 W/m²K, DL 750 and UL 1500 resistance, and a cover in the NRO class. It complies with the EN 1873 standard. It is commonly used for the point daylighting of workstations in production halls, warehouses, logistics centers.

Product Characteristics

Fixed structure without moving parts

The lack of an openable segment and actuator means the lowest purchase cost in the skylight group, no mandatory actuator inspections, and the simplest maintenance of tightness throughout the entire service life of the roof.

Steel or PVC base

Galvanized steel base with a height of 150, 350, 500, or 750 mm, which requires additional insulation, or a PVC base with a height of 200 mm (straight variant), which does not require insulation. Geometry variants: straight, straight - slanted, and slanted.

Three cover materials and shapes

Multi-wall polycarbonate, solid polycarbonate, or acrylic, in a clear or opal version; flat, domed, or convex surface-selected according to the required light distribution and roof aesthetics.

Confirmed technical parameters

DL 750 - resistance to downward load up to 750 N/m²; UL 1500 - resistance to upward load up to 1500 N/m²; SB 300-1200 - soft body impact resistance; thermal transmittance coefficient 1.1-2.5 W/m²K depending on the cover and base variant.

Non-fire spreading cover options

Available covers in the NRO / BROOF(t1) class, including the Kera Fire Protect panels, according to the required roof fire protection classification.

Reduction of lighting costs

Point daylighting of workstations directly under the skylight allows for extending working hours under daylight and reducing electricity consumption for hall lighting.

Safety and equipment options

Fall protection grids or insect screens, fall protection anchor points, E30/EI30 fire barrier mounted at the base of the skylight, and painting of the inside of the base in any RAL color.

Manufacturer support and warranty

Up to a 10-year warranty on the polycarbonate cover and tightness, design and optimization of solutions for a specific facility, support with technical documentation, and advisory services at every stage.

Rooflight base:

  • Made of galvanized steel sheet. Standard: straight or slanted base with a height of 150, 350, 500 and 750mm. The base should be insulated with a layer of mineral wool or PIR panels.

  • Made of PVC (straight base with a height of 200mm or slanted base with a height of 150 or 300mm). The base does not require insulation.

Clamping frame for steel bases:

The bases have special cut-outs in the corners, which, after installation and machining of the base, allow free press-on installation of the so-called PVC "clamping" frame.

Rooflight Cover:

Cover is made of cellular polycarbonate, solid polycarbonate or acrylic. Choose from two color options: transparent or milky. The surface can take the shape of a convex, dome-shaped (from acrylic or solid polycarbonate) and flat (from cellular polycarbonate). Rooflights made of cellular polycarbonate can come in fire retardant classification.

  • We make rooflights in the range (60-200)x(60x300) cm

  • DL 750 - has a downward directed load resistance of up to 750N/m2

  • UL 1500 - has an upward load resistance of up to 1500N/m2

  • SB 300 -1200 - shows resistance to impact with a large soft body

  • 1.1-2.5W/m2K - the heat transfer coefficient for the entire product. The coefficient depends on the choice of cover and base

  • With a 21mm thick polycarbonate cover (2x10mm + fire retardant fabric) and a 27mm thick polycarbonate cover (10+16mm + fire retardant fabric), the product qualifies as non fire spreading (fire retardant).

  • Possibility to equip the rooflight with an anti-fall grating or insect netting

  • Possibility of attaching anti-drop brackets to the rooflight

  • Possibility to use E30/EI30 baffle
