Triangular Continuous Rooflights

AWAK triangular continuous rooflight provides natural daylight along the full length of a building, while its two pitched faces shed snow and water readily. Its directional light distribution gives you greater control over where the light falls inside. It is well suited to roofs carrying heavy snow loads and to buildings where a clean, geometric profile fits the architecture.

Upstand of continuous rooflights

The upstand is made of 1.5–3 mm thick galvanised steel sheet with a standard height ranging from 150 to 750 mm. The upstand can be adapted to the roof structure and individual project requirements. It can be insulated with mineral wool, polystyrene or PIR insulation, with thickness ranging from 50 to 120 mm, depending on the project requirements. Self-supporting upstands are also available, with heights ranging from 450 to 750 mm. The system is suitable for installation on roofs with a pitch of up to 15°.

Design

The supporting structure consists of aluminium profiles mechanically connected to form a rigid and lightweight frame for fixing the rooflight cover.

Cover

Multi-wall polycarbonate (PC) – available in thicknesses of 10, 16, 20 and 25 mm. The outer surface is protected by a UV-filter coating.
KERA Fire Protect Panels – fire-retardant panels with BROOF(t1) classification, available in thicknesses of 21, 27 and 33 mm.
Light transmission – clear or opal finishes are available. Opal covers are standard for KERA Fire Protect panels.
Solar Control – multi-wall polycarbonate with a special coating that helps control solar radiation and reduce excessive heat gain during summer.

Equipment

The triangular continuous rooflights can be equipped with:

Single-leaf or double-leaf smoke vents;
Single leaf ventilation flaps.

Smoke vents can be operated by 24 V DC electric actuators or pneumatic actuators powered by CO₂ cartridges, depending on the required smoke control system.

With electric actuation, the same 24 V DC actuator can operate both the smoke exhaust and ventilation functions. With pneumatic actuation, an additional 230 V AC electric actuator or a separate pneumatic actuator can be installed for ventilation, depending on the selected configuration.

For natural ventilation, the ventilation flaps are operated by a 230 V AC electric actuator, available with a 300 mm or 500 mm stroke. This enables controlled opening and closing of the flap according to the building’s ventilation requirements.

Both smoke vents and ventilation flaps can be integrated with control systems, including control panels, detectors and other required accessories.

Triangular continuous rooflights are manufactured in accordance with EN 14963 and are designed to provide natural daylight. The integrated smoke vents are designed and certified in accordance with EN 12101-2 and are covered by a Declaration of Performance with CE marking 1488-CPR-0042/W.

Dimensions – triangular continuous rooflights are available in width ranging from 800 mm to 4500 mm, with custom lengths available to suit individual project requirements.
DL 750 – resistance to a downward load of up to 750 N/m².
UL 1500 – resistance to an upward load of up to 1500 N/m².
SB 300 – 1200 – resistance to impact from a large soft body, according to the declared classification.
Thermal transmittance – 1.1–2.5 W/(m²·K) for the complete product. The value depends on the selected cover and upstand configuration.
SL 250 / SL 550 / SL 900 – reliable operation of smoke vents under loads of 250 N/m², 550 N/m² and 900 N/m², respectively.
Cover options – multi-wall polycarbonate, KERA Fire Protect fire-retardant panels and Solar Control options.
